1) What happens if I rent a Jet Ski or ski boat and it rains on my scheduled day?
Answer: At Young Harris Water Sports we always want your customers to have any enjoyable rental. If the weather is bad on your scheduled day just call before delivery is made and we will be happy to reschedule for another day.
2) What if I just want to cancel my reservation?
Answer: If you give at least 48 hours notice of a cancellation there is no charge. If cancellation is less than 48 hours before rental there will be a $50 cancellation fee. Due to the rental business and limited number of watercraft available in this area we have no other choice but to charge for last minute cancellations.
3) How fast are the jet skis?
Answer: The jet skis we rent are capable of reaching speeds close to 60 mph. However, the weight of the riders and water conditions may affect the top speed performance.
4) How many people can ride on a jet ski?
Answer: The Honda AquaTrax F-12 is a 3-seat watercraft with a weight capacity of 528 lbs. The R-12 is a 2-seat watercraft with a weight capacity of 338 lbs. The Kawasaki STX-12 is a 3 passenger jet ski with a weight capacity of 496 lbs.
5) Do you have to mix oil with the gas?
Answer: No, These Honda machines have four-stroke engines, which means all you have to do is put gas in them. They are delivered with a full tank of gas (16 gallons). When you rent one of your machines you never have to check or add oil. Just make sure you don’t run out of gas!!!
6) How long will a tank of fuel last on a jet ski?
Answer: Fuel consumption is directly proportional to the weight on the machine, the water conditions, and your riding style. The Honda AquaTrax is the most fuel-efficient personal watercraft available today. One tank of gas will last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours.
7) How does the 24 hour/multi-day rental work?
Answer: In order to receive the discounted rate of $275 or $325 per/day (24 hours) we require a two-day minimum rental. The renter keeps the jet ski/ski boat and has unlimited use. The renter must have a way to secure the watercraft over night (i.e. a dock). We do provide anchor boys if needed.
8) How many people can we take on the ski boats?
Answer: Our tournament ski boat is rated for 6 passengers and the Mariah runabout is rated for 7.
